![]() – Josephine (LaBalbo) Monroe, formerly of Oneida, died on Sunday, Jin Chicago, Ill. (See Death Notice.) Josephine (LaBalb> onroe CHICAGO, Ill. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Anthony Gerakopoulos of Morrisville one sister-in-law, Yvonne Hamilton of Bath, NY three grandchildren, Scott Davis Pixley of Boise, Idaho, Erika Lynne Pixley of Morrisville and Gregory Stephen Gerakopoulos of Binghamton one great-granddaughter, Lauren Alexis Pixley one niece and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. He had been a devoted husband to his wife for 53 years. Lawrence married Helen Beyette on Main Auburn. Davis had been a member of Oneida Lake Congregational Church. He had also been a Justice of the Peace in Lakeport for many years and a Trustee of the Evergreen Cemetery Association in Felts Mills, NY, for more than 30 years. Lawrence had been a member of the Board of Education in Chittenango from 1949-1957, which included the time of the district consolidation. ![]() He had also been a member of American Legion Post No. 30 of Syracuse and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. He had been a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, Coonley-Nojaim Memorial Post No. Davis had been a veteran of World War II, serving in Germany and France with the U.S. He later became a consultant for the O’Hara & O’ Connell law firm in Liverpool until 1998. He had worked for the Kemper Insurance Company in Syracuse for many years, and retired in 1973 as Eastern Claims Manager of the Summit, N.J. He later graduated from Yale University in 1932 with an AB Degree and in 1936 from Syracuse University with a LLD Degree. He was a 1927 graduate from Newport High School in Vermont and a 1928 graduate of Peddie School in Hightstown, N.J. Lawrence had lived in Lakeport most of his life, living in Summit, N.J. 17, 1909 in Lakeport, the son of Otto and Ethel Merrill Davis. Davis, 90, of 1966 Route 31, died Sunday, July 16, 2000, at his home, following a sudden illness. ![]() She was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Fratelli and one sister, Lucy La Claire. five grandchildren, Jill Campanaro and her fiance, Aaron Bouton of Rome, Anthony and his wife Faith Campanaro of Watertown, Robin Anderson of Oneida, Jodi Nettleton of Rome and George Civitelli of Oneida four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Civitelli of Rome two daughters and one son-in-law, JoAnne and George West and Donna Nettleton, all of Rome five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Julia and Al Calicchia of Rome, Mary DiToma of Canastota, Margaret Baldanza of Oneida, Theresa and Ron Fuller of Oriskany Falls, and Anne and Al Evans of SeBring, Fla. Civitelli retired from the former Rome State School. ![]() She was born on Apin Canastota, the daughter of the late Luigi and Maria Giangrande Fratelli. Civitelli, 80, of 625 Roosevelt Ave., died on Sunday, Jat Rome Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. ![]()
